Arrivée : Puerto Real à la marina Pescaderia, 1,20$/pied Marina qui offre un très bon service: douches, laveuse/sécheuse (1x), magasin électronique et dépositaire Westmarine avec articles sur place, petit dépanneur et poissonnerie sur place (vous achetez votre poisson et le resto à côté vous l’apprête. C’était excellent et très sympathique ! Plusieurs petits dépanneurs autour de la marina pour acheter des articles de base (lait, pain, etc.). À environ 5 min. en auto, il y a une boulangerie ; poulet cuit sur place. Avons renouvelé le Cruising permit à Mayaguez et complété les procédures d’entrée au téléphone. Attention: jetez vos poubelles avant d’entrer au pays car vous risquez de payer pour les faire incinérer si on y trouve des agrumes ou autres articles interdits d’entrée au pays (300 US$).
Anchorages and Marinas on your way east a) La.Parguera Lajas, Puerto Rico Right after tuning east on the Cabo Rojo lighthouse corner is La Parguera. Keep navigating east for a couple of miles past several visible reefs until the entrance marked with red markers. Be on the lookout both visibly and with the aid of your GPS since the area is very treacherous. After entering La Parguera look for the free mooring buoys on both Caracoles Cay and Enrique Cay. Both great places to spend the day and the night. Feel free to leave your vessel at the cay and hop in your dinghy to the Club Nautico de La Parguera restaurant El Turrumote.
Notes additionnelles de BLÜ: 16 février 2017: Avons passé la nuit sur une boule de mouillage gratuite, à l’abri de la houle derrière Henrique Cay, coordonnées: 17 57.477 N, 067 02.651 W J’ai inspecté en apnée la boule sur laquelle nous étions amarrés, histoire d’en vérifier la solidité, tout a semblé en bon état: filin de très gros diamètre attaché au fond à une tige de métal par une boucle anti raguage. L’ancrage était cependant dans une pente sous-marine: env. 20 pieds de profondeur derrière le bateau mais peut-être 5 pieds en avant si le bateau avait tourné de 180 degrés; pas vraiment important étant donné la constance de l’alizée.
b) San Jacinto/Guilligan's Island Guanica Puerto Rico East of La Parguera, the next stop will be on San Jacinto. Nothing really going for it. If you can make it to Ponce even better. Similar to La Parguera but smaller and with no restaurants nearby. Nice anchorage though 1f you need to make the stop.
c) Ponce Bay/Ponce Yacht + Fishing Club Ponce Puerto Rico
Further east, the next stop should be at Ponce You can either anchor at the bay or get a slip at the Ponce Yacht and Fishing Club (787-842-9003). Very loud on weekend nights. Very good marina with all services. Boatyard with high capacity traveling lift at the marina. Many food kiosks in La Guancha and easy access to the Historical District. Notes additionnelles de BLÜ: 17 février 2017 Nous voulions visiter Ponce étant donné les attraits décrits dans la documentation. Le mouillage dans la baie n’est vraiment pas intéressant, pas protégé, dans un secteur très industriel etc. Quant à la marina, leur inefficacité et mauvais service mérite d’être souligné, que ce soit au quai de service ou au bureau; perte de temps à se faire servir c’est incroyable.

Sommes donc allés en ville en fin de journée $ 10 en taxi. La vielle ville nous a paru déserte et sans vie en cette fin de journée, pourtant un vendredi; les restaurants annoncés n’étaient que des fast food. Le board walk de la marina a été beaucoup plus intéressant et animé; leur musique forte s’est cependant fait entendre tard dans la nuit même à notre place à quai. Les quais sont en béton, très petits, il faut un bon équilibre pour marcher sur la passerelle de débarquement; l’arrière du bateau doit être amarré à des poteaux de chaque côté. Pour faire une histoire courte, nous avons regretté de nous être arrêtés ici.
d) Caja de Muerto (Coffin Island) Ponce Puerto Rico Another one in the list of "Not to be Missed". Probably the best anchorage beach in Puerto Rico this side of Culebrita Island (more on that in a moment). Free mooring buoys on the north-center shoreline. Best beaches along the northeast shore. Good holding on the ground. Blue waters. White sands, constant breeze. A great place to spend the day.

e) Salinas Bay Salinas, Puerto Rico Next stop east of Ponce is Salinas Bay Tons of transients anchored at the bay and visit the several restaurants lined on the shore. Marina Services available at Marina Salinas (787) 824-3185. Cayo Matias will be the place to go in your dinghy if you want to spend the day in the water.
f) The Yacht Club Palmas del Mar Humacao. Puerto Rico Right on the southeast shoreline of Puerto Rico overlooking Vieques lsland is marina at Palmas del Mar. Very beautiful marina with all sorts of marina services located in one of the most important resort communities in Puerto Rico. Ask for Juan Boschetti. Many restaurants at the resort, rental cars, travelling lifts, golf, water park. Telephone (787) 556-7300
g) Puerto del Rey I Sun Bay Marina
Located on the eastern shore of the island. Very large and modern marinas with all sorts of services. (787) 860-1000 I (787) 863-0313
h) Culebra Island Culebra, Puerto Rico A “must” stop before heading into the Virgin Islands. Very laid back attitude on a beautiful island. Three major anchorages: 1) Ensenada Onda: where most transients anchor at. Easy access into town. Visit the dinghy channel for various restaurants and bars. 2) Dakity: Off Ensenada Onda. Small inlet where locals anchor to spend the weekend
3) La Pela: North of Ensenada Onda. Very protected but no access to land Best be for anchorage after spending a day at Culebrita Islandà
Make sure you rent a Jeep or a golf cart and head to fabulous Flamenco Beach Often considered in the Best Beaches of the World lists.
i) Culebrita Island Culebrita, Puerto Rico The BEST anchorage in Puerto Rico. Northeast of Culebra Island. Very beautiful beach, great holding power. May turn kind of rough during the night. Take the trail leading into the lighthouse for spectacular views. Spend the night at nearby La Pela anchorage in Culebra Island afterward.
j) Vieques Island Vieques, Puerto Roca Vieques sports the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world. If there is something you must do during your vacation in Isla de Vieques is to visit the bio-bay. Many tour options to choose either by kayak or electrical power boats. Notes additionnelles de BLÜ:

PUERTO PATILLAS 17o 57.54N 66o 0.16W 1 nm SW of entrance to anchorage Nothing much here except for a reasonable overnight anchorage in 10ft of water or less if you so wish. There are a number of spots and you can hunt around until you find one that you like. Keep away from the coral reef west of Point Viento as you enter; stay to your port until you have cleared it.
Notes additionnelles de BLÜ: 18 février 2017 Très joli mouillage, bien protégé de la houle qui provenait du est-sud-est lors de notre visite; très calme dans le mouillage; nous avons adoré ce mouillage tranquille.
