CANAL CHAMPLAIN - ATTENTION

HIGH WATER CHAMPLAIN CANAL BETWEEN LOCKS C1 AND C7

Mariners are advised that heavy rainfall has increased water levels and current in river sections of the Champlain Canal between Lock C-1 in Waterford and Lock C-7 in Fort Edward.

Buoys may be off station and vertical clearance at bridges may be reduced. Until further notice, mariners should exercise extreme caution while navigating this section of Canal and proceed at a "No Wake" speed to prevent wake-related damage in low-lying areas.

Mariners are further advised that the Schuyler Yacht Basin in Schuylerville is not currently open, and that services may be reduced or unavailable at other facilities along the Champlain Canal.
