St. Johns River Dredging:
Great Lakes Dock & Dredge
will commence dredge operations on or about October 5th in various areas along
the St. Johns River including Cuts 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 48 and the Lower Terminal
Channel. The Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge "TERRAPIN ISLAND" will be dredging
in the above referenced location and subsequently discharging the dredged
material into a confined disposal facility on Bartram Island via mooring barge
and floating pipe line. All working vessels will monitor channels VHF 13 and 16.
All equipment will be marked in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
The dredge will operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The work is scheduled to
be completed on or about November 30, 2013.
